After 53 Years, I Have to Close My Doors.

Every cap I've made at Walter's Caps has been cut, stitched, and shaped by hand in my small workshop. Since 1973, I've dedicated my life to creating caps the way my father taught me — and the way his father taught him. No shortcuts, no rushing. Just honest craftsmanship.

The business didn't survive. The big names won, and I can't keep fighting. At 72, I'm forced to close my workshop for good.

There's no one to pass this on to. The craft stops with me. My father passed it to me. I always assumed I'd do the same. That never happened — and that's not easy to say.

These last caps are my chance to leave something behind. Not for the business — that's gone. But for my family, and for the men who understand that quality like this doesn't come around twice.

About Walter

I started this shop back in 1973 with a workbench, a handful of tools, and everything my father taught me about making caps. For 53 years, I've been cutting, stitching, and shaping each one by hand — steady and honest, built to last.

The business didn't survive. At 72, I'm closing Walter's Caps for good. Add two caps to your cart and the second one is free — my way of making sure these caps find a good home before the doors close.

These are the last caps I'll ever make. Once they're gone, they're gone.

What payment methods do you accept?

You can pay safely and easily. I accept Amex, Apple pay, Google pay, Maestro, MasterCard, Shop pay and Visa.

How are your caps made?

Each cap is carefully handcrafted in my workshop. I cut the cloth, stitch every seam, and shape each piece by hand. I’ve been making caps this way since 1973, with the same steady care and attention to detail.

How should I care for my cap?

A well-made cap doesn’t need much to last. Keep it in a cool, dry place when you’re not wearing it, and give it a gentle brush now and then to keep the fabric fresh. If it gets wet, let it dry naturally. Simple care will keep your cap in good shape for years.

And if you’re ever unsure, you can always ask me directly.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes, I offer free shipping on all orders. Once your cap has been shipped, I’ll send you a tracking number so you can follow its journey to you.
