Customers proudly wear my caps!
Nothing makes me prouder than seeing my caps out in the world.
About Walter
I started this shop back in 1973 with a workbench, a handful of tools, and everything my father taught me about making caps. For 53 years, I've been cutting, stitching, and shaping each one by hand, the way I always have โ steady, honest, built to last.
The business didn't survive. At 72, I'm closing Walter's Caps for good. Add two caps to your cart and the second one is free โ my way of making sure these caps find a good home before the doors close.
These are the last caps I'll ever make. Once they're gone, they're gone.

Lifetime Craftmanship Promise
When I make a cap, I make it to last. Each one is cut and stitched with steady hands and the same care my father taught me. That's why I stand by every piece with my Lifetime Craftsmanship Promise. If your cap ever needs repair because of the way it was made, I'll make it right. A cap from my workshop is meant to stay with you for years โ just as it should be.

How are your caps made?
Each cap is carefully handcrafted in my workshop. I cut the cloth, stitch every seam, and shape each piece by hand. Iโve been making caps this way since 1973, with the same steady care and attention to detail.
How should I care for my cap?
A well-made cap doesnโt need much to last. Keep it in a cool, dry place when youโre not wearing it, and give it a gentle brush now and then to keep the fabric fresh. If it gets wet, let it dry naturally. Simple care will keep your cap in good shape for years.
And if youโre ever unsure, you can always ask me directly.
